Mason Thomas Kennington was born in Sioux Falls, SD on November 27, 2004. Mason has 3 brothers, 1 sister, his mom, and his dad (who has a PhD. in physiology). Mason has lived in the same house and even though he has lived in a small town in rural South Dakota his entire life, nothing stops him from wanting to do what he loves. He is very passionate about baseball and continues to play as he gets older. Even though he is not very fond of coming to school every day, he loves history and seeing the events that shaped our country and world into where it is now.
Mason would live in the mountains if he could live anywhere in the world for a while. This makes sense since his favorite book and movie is The Hobbit. In fact, he said that if he could be any character from a book, he would choose Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings because “he’s small and has a lot of confidence.”
If Mason could time-travel, he’d choose to redo specific mistakes he has made in the past. He would like to be able to teleport in order to get places faster since he can’t live without his car. He also has an Eagle Scout title which takes “hard work and dedication in order to complete the requirements.”
He works at Sunshine Foods in Madison and stocks shelves and bags customers’ goods in order to start saving money for the future. Mason aspires to go to college in Utah for exercise science in order to be a physical therapist. Before he heads off to college, however, Mason wants to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to spread the church's word and information. If he had to choose a place to travel to for his mission, he would choose Rome. When Mason is done serving his mission, he hopes to have a good and stable career, have a family, and be able to care for and support that family.
