Myles John Olson is the son of Lori and Travis Olson. Myles was born in Mitchell on October 6th, 2004, and moved to Madison a few years later. Myles is an 18-year-old senior, currently attending Madison High School. Myles has a younger brother named Tyler, an older sister, Rachel, and a dog named Oscar. If Myles could recommend something it would be to “have proper schedules and to keep organized”. He believes that these things are important to being a successful student at school.
Myles' favorite parts of high school include everything musical. He has participated in marching band, concert band, choir, and Mad Voices for the past 4 years of high school. He recently joined winter drumline, which was new to the school last year. His favorite activity is Mad Voices, a jazz choir at the high school. He enjoys Mad Voices because he likes traveling with the group, the friends he’s made, and the music they sing.
After high school, Myles plans to attend Dakota State University and major in computer science. Myles has enjoyed classes that include math and his internship at East River. These opportunities have helped influence his interest in computer science. Myles said that his favorite subject is math because “It just works; it clicks”. In the next ten years, Myles sees himself having a stable career and starting a family.
