The Madison High School baseball team is looking to get off to a good start this upcoming weekend. The Bulldogs open their season against Brandon Valley this Saturday afternoon in Brandon at Aspen Park. This year, the Bulldogs will play many Class A schools: all 5 Sioux Falls schools, Brandon Valley, Rapid City Stevens, Sturgis, Huron, Mitchell, and their region opponents. Madison looks forward to tough competition to propel them into the playoffs.

The Bulldogs will be looking to reload from last year's lineup. The bulldogs lose a significant amount of their offense and defensive side of the ball. The Bulldogs return Aspen Dahl, Trey Smith, Peyton Wolf, Nate Ricke, Colby Vostad, Riley Kearin, and added Mickale Dohrer and Michael Peters. With this amount of seniors, the Madison High School baseball team will try to make a deep playoff run. The Bulldogs are excited about the season starting this weekend and look forward to making a playoff run in the middle of May, and the state tournament will follow.
