This amazing and stylish 17-year-old senior lives in the country on 6 acres of land and loves potatoes. Her name is Lillian Kay Tolley. She lives with her mom and her 3 dogs and she enjoys watching the Gilmore Girls, and Pride and Prejudice (2005). Her favorite book is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. She says “the book is written so eloquently that one cannot help but love it.” She excels in the band and knocks our socks off at football half-time shows! Not only is she a wonderful band member, but she is an amazing lifeguard/swim instructor as well! She enjoys “talking to all the patrons of the pool and hearing their personal stories.” Similar to her favorite food, she would describe her last year as being like a potato because “overall my year came in many different styles, but it all was amazing in the end.”

Throughout her year she has had her pug with her, in which she expressed she cannot live without. Unfortunately, her pug passed away in December 2021.  Lillian says while it was a tough transition from having her dog to not having her, it made her stronger as an individual. Through her four years at Madison High School, she has learned to know who you are and stick to it -  the right people will find you and accept you. Lillian would love to live in Greece because “it’s gorgeous, historic, and overall, fun!”

If she could have any superpower, she would choose invisibility to “help people and just make their day better.” If Lillian had 5 million dollars, she would “buy a home, a 1974 brown Ford Bronco with cream accents, 1968 CJ - 7 Jeep (any color would suffice), 1992 light blue Ford 250 pickup, pay any college debt, and donate the rest to charity and her family.” Surprisingly, if Lillian could be in any reality TV show she would love to be an “awkward bystander” in Keeping Up with the Kardashians, specifically to observe their lifestyle.

Finally, Lillian plans to go to Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina and double major in Education and English with a minor in psychology. Upon asking Lillian where she sees herself in 10 years she replied, “In 10 years I hope to have a stable income and home, maybe married, maybe kids are involved - who knows?” Overall, everyone at MHS wishes her luck and will miss her hilariously sassy presence!
