Aspen Lynn Denne isn’t only the fashion-forward bright girl that you see walking down the hall. She is ambitious and has a drive for adventure! She comes from a family of four: Tina, her mom; Jamie, her dad; Oakley, her brother; plus two dogs, a Cavachon named Ollie, and a Labrador named River. She cannot live without her dog Ollie because he is always there for her. Aspen got the nickname Fancy Face from her dad when she was little. He may have seen her fashion sense starting to show even as a young child!

Although she has lived in Madison her entire life, she wants to live in Greece for a year to enjoy the architecture, food, and culture. Her adventurous spirit doesn’t stop there! She also wants to visit every National Park in the United States and go skydiving. Another way that you can see Aspen’s adventurous spirit is in the clothes she wears. She enjoys fashion and putting outfits together. Her passion for clothes and styling them runs deep. Even in South Dakota, she doesn’t let the weather affect what she chooses to wear. “I like to keep every day different and not let anything determine the type of day I am going to have,” says Aspen. She recommends keeping your outfits fresh and using Olaplex hair products to keep your hair looking shiny and soft.

Aspen’s next adventure, after graduating high school, is to attend Southeast Technical Institute to study vascular sonography. She already has experience in the medical field as a CNA working for Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home. The most rewarding part of her job is getting to see the residents and being able to help them when they cannot help themselves. Aspen enjoys her science classes because she loves learning about the human body and how it functions. As Aspen looks ahead to her future, she sees herself married, with kids, a dog, a stable job, and of course, keeping her fashion fresh and stylish.

You might be wondering what this adventurous, ambitious fashionista is doing in her downtime? Well, you could find her watching Alias Grace or Dead Silence enjoying some chips and queso (with Ollie of course) and probably planning out tomorrow’s outfit.

If Aspen had to choose a food item to describe the last year of her life she would choose popcorn! According to Aspen, “Popcorn changes in delicious ways, from a kernel to fluffy white delicious things.” She feels like she has changed for the better in the last year, just like popcorn. Looking back over her high school years, she has some good advice for the underclassmen -  know your worth and don’t let anything change who you are.
