If you don’t see Cody Klein at school, a football game, or a volleyball game, you will most likely see him working hard on the family farm, just south of Junius. Cody loves working on the family farm because, “I never do the same thing every day,” he says. He has five members of his family including his mother, Kim; his father, Jess; a younger brother, Kade; and younger sister, Reese.

One thing that Cody could not live without is his pickup because he needs it to drive everywhere. His favorite classes are ag classes because he learns skills that will help him in the real world. One thing Cody would recommend to someone is to eat more beef and hunt. He would also want to live in Wyoming when he is older because “there are not very many people there.” When asked what he would do with 5 million dollars he said he would want to buy a ranch in Wyoming or a Peterbilt semi.

After high school, Cody plans to attend college at Mitchel Tech for diesel ag mechanics. When asked where does he see himself 10 years from now he says, “farming or ranching somewhere in South Dakota.” His favorite animals on the farm right now are his horses Indy, Ruby, and Cactus.
