If you're ever at the bowling alley on a Monday evening around 7, between the months of October and May, you will probably see Colby Ronald Vostad there bowling. He’s also known as “Big Voss Hoss Boss”, his PS4 nickname. When people think of Colby Vostad, they think of the greatest bowler in the Tri-State area and his killer beard. Colby has lived in Madison his entire life. He lives with his mom, Shannon; his dad, Corey; his brother, Ayden, and dog named Milo. Colby works at the bowling alley in Madison and enjoys it because “You just get to mess around the whole time”.
Some things to know about Colby is that his favorite T.V. show is Friends and his favorite movie is Swiss Family Robinson. If Colby was given $5 million to spend, he would buy a house in the country along with a fancy boat. Math has always come easiest to Colby; however, Ag classes are Colby’s favorite because he learns skills that he will actually use in the real world while having fun with his friends and Mr. Kesteloot. Colby is also afraid of heights, which he says “stops me from going on roller coasters”.
Although many people think of bowling when they think of Colby, he also has many other hobbies and activities that he participates in. In the fall, Colby's favorite season, he plays football where he is a left tackle. Geese and ducks are some of his favorite things to hunt in his free time. Once spring rolls around you will likely see Colby playing third base or right field at the baseball diamonds. During the summer, Colby enjoys going fishing on the local lakes with his family and friends.
When asked if he could live anywhere in the world for a year where it would be, he replied “The Bahamas, because it is nice there and I enjoy the weather”. In ten years Colby hopes to be working as a mechanic and married to the woman of his dreams. A piece of advice Colby has to offer is “Join a bowling league, you don’t have to be good; it is just a good and fun way to meet people”.
