Senior Spotlight: Timothy Saunsoci

If you would use a pretzel to describe the last year of your life, you would be able to relate to Timothy Saunsoci. Timothy would use a pretzel because this last year has been very good despite many twists and turns. Timothy Tucker Saunsoci is a 17-year-old senior at Madison High School. He moved to Madison from Rapid City in the 7th grade and would, without a doubt, say that Madison is a better town due to its sense of community. Timothy lives with his mother, Rose, and younger brother, Jesse.

Since moving here and going to high school, he would have to say that his favorite subject is science; he thinks it's fun and interesting. Timothy likes the physics part of science the most and enjoys performing labs about physics very much. As science is related to nature, so is Timothy. He likes nature a lot, and to no surprise says that his favorite color is, “green, because it reminds me of nature.”

One thing that Timothy enjoys is The Hunger Games, which is his favorite movie. Although he has read the first book, Timothy still thinks that the movie is better. When asked which movie character he would be, he chose Thomas from the Maze Runner. He says this because he thinks it would be fun and exciting even if there are some scary parts within the maze. After running all throughout the maze you would work up quite the appetite. Timothy would recommend going to eat at the Hibachi Grill and ordering the sushi. Oddly enough, that is the only kind of seafood that he likes. Although he likes Hibachi Grill, he would say that having homemade pasta salad cannot be beaten.

If getting something homemade isn't an option, you should stop by the local Subway. Timothy works at Subway.  If he isn’t working at the Subway you can probably find him on his phone, which is one thing that he believes he could not live without. Just like many other teens, he spends a lot of time on Snapchat and Tiktok. Although, do not be surprised if you see Timothy looking up places to go in Italy as it is somewhere that he would like to go someday.

Speaking about places he would like to go, another would be to the set of the reality tv show, Fear Factor. It is a show that Timothy would like to be on and perform crazy stunts,  which to Timothy, “looks like a lot of fun.” If you can’t find him daydreaming about Fear Factor you may find him doing something he enjoys like drawing or cooking.

Timothy's future is very bright and involves a lot of cooking. Timothy plans to go to culinary school when he graduates from high school. When asked what he would recommend to underclassmen, Timothy said study and pay attention because hard work will pay off. If he had his own YouTube channel, he said that he would have a cooking show with his favorite thing to bake - pastries. When asked where he sees himself in 10 years, Timothy hopes he will be in New York with his own culinary business, mostly focused on pastries.
