Senior Spotlight: Zachary Whitlock

If you like sports, hunting, and fishing, you have come to the right place. Along with enjoying outdoor activities, Zach also enjoys eating tacos, watching professional bull riding, professional or college football, and baseball. Not only does he like watching football and baseball, but Zach also enjoys playing these sports alongside his friends, actually he recommends it.

Zach is very passionate about hunting. If he could have any superpower, it would be night vision, so that he can be his “own trail camera.” He says he couldn’t live without his hunting equipment. Zach has grown up hunting and plans to continue doing this hobby for as long as he can.

It is very common for people to not like snakes and spiders, and Zach is one of them. Even while he is mowing in his backyard, if he runs into a snake he, “shuts the mower off for about an hour.” But, who wouldn’t?

Zach is the oldest son to mother, Michelle; father, Dan; with a younger brother named Tyler. They also have a couple of playful dogs named Jersey, Sandy, and Ember. If Zach was given 5 million dollars, he would give money to charities and his family. He would also spend money on his dogs.

Zachary C. Whitlock is a senior at Madison High School and after, he plans to go to Mitchell Technical College, and enroll in the Power Line program. He plans to use most of the skills he has gained while working for Michael Johnson Construction where he helps find water leaks and put in water lines. Zach also plans to use the knowledge from the many CTE Ag classes that he has taken throughout high school.

Ten years from now, Zach plans to have a house out in the country with a family and a couple of dogs. If he had the opportunity to live anywhere for a year, without hesitation, Zach said, “Alaska.” There, he would have different hunting and fishing experiences. He could also cross some things off of his bucket list, such as shooting an Elk to hang in his house.
