SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Ty Jorgenson

Hunting is a very important activity in this young man's life. Ty Malone Jorgenson, 18 years-old, loves to go hunting for geese, ducks, and other animals. He said one item he could not live without is his shotgun, which makes perfect sense with his love for hunting. At some point in Ty’s life he would like the chance to hunt for and shoot an elk. When asked if he would have a YouTube Channel, he would want his content to be about hunting, and if he was able to get a partnership with any company he said he would want to be with “SITKA,” a popular hunting brand.

Ty has a fairly large family with a total of six members. His mother, Heidi, and his father, Todd, who are the owners of the local One Stop. Ty also has two sisters, Preslee and Kenzie, and one brother, Heston. Living on the outskirts of town, his family is able to have two horses named Smarty and Tucker, that they have had for about fifteen years. Ty obviously cares about his parents very much because when asked what he would do in five million dollars he said, “I would buy a cabin in the mountains for my father and then pay off my parents debts.”

If there is ever a way that we learn to fly, the first person you will see in the sky is Ty. If he could have any superpower it would be to be able to fly, because then he could get anywhere faster. Although, if he could play any characters he said, “I would be the Flash, because I want to be able to run fast like he can.” However, he will have to find his own superpowers if he is ever on Wipe out or American Ninja Warriors, two shows he would like to be a contestant on.

Ty has big plans for his future. He is planning on going to South Dakota State University for school, where he plans on studying business economics. With that, he is thinking about possibly taking over his parent business in the future and expanding the hunting portion of One Stop. Ty sees himself with his own business or at good job with a wife and kids within the next ten years.
