Senior Spotlight: Megan Bierschbach

Megan Marie Bierschbach was born eighteen years ago to her parents, Lori and Alan Bierschbach. She has one older brother, Derek. She lives in town, where she spends her free time watching Stranger Things and eating her favorite food, pasta. Megan is always busy, as she balances her job as a server at The Office and many school activities. She participates in cross country, golf, student council, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and acts as a wrestling manager. She brings her rainbow blanket to every meet, tournament, and game she goes to, and says that it’s the one item she couldn’t live without.

Something that Megan has learned throughout high school is to always be kind to others, as you never know what they are going through. Her advice to underclassmen is to take a few college classes to help lower the cost of college. She also highly recommends getting involved in as many clubs, activities, and sports as possible, since it “helps you make new friends - some of your best friends.”

If Megan could have any superpower, she says she would want the ability to fly so she could travel anywhere she wants. If given the chance to live somewhere for a year, Megan would pick Hawaii because it’s beautiful all year round with wonderful weather and she would like to experience the Hawaiian culture. She would like to star on Big Brother since she likes meeting new people, the competitions are fun, and she would get to live in a house with new people. Though, Megan doesn’t think she would win.

Her favorite memory from high school is going to sporting events with her friends and being on the cross country team, as she feels like it’s like a big family since everyone is so close. Though she will miss high school, she plans to attend the University of South Dakota to study business - marketing or accounting specifically. In ten year’s time, Megan hopes to have graduated college and be working at a job she loves. She hopes to be married, to have children and maybe a dog, and to live near a big city.
