SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Riley Johnson

Do you ever wish you could stop time entirely? Kick back, relax, and do whatever you want? Well, for Riley Alexander Johnson, 17, he wishes he could do just that- if he had superpowers to do that,  of course.

As much as Riley wishes for the ability to stop time, with his work ethic, time never stops. He is constantly working multiple jobs each day. Riley spends his work time working for the job he loves at American Electric, and also at the local Madison Pizza Ranch.

Even though Riley spends most of his days working and gaming, he also loves spending time with his friends and family. He’s the son of George and Jennifer, and brother to Mariah. When he spends time with his family, the thing he looks forward to the most is his Grandpa’s famous macaroni salad (his favorite food ever), and when he hangs out with his friends they look forward to “Money Heist”.  He says if he was given $5 million, but couldn’t spend any of it on himself, he would spend it on his family, especially his grandma,  for whom he would build a new house. Riley would also build a new hospital hoping to help other people. Although, if he could use the money on himself, he would buy his dream car, which is the Datsun 240z.

Something that Riley definitely couldn't live without is the internet. He spends most of his free time playing video games and says if he could be any character in any video game, it would be a ghost in Call of Duty. So, as much as he is passionate about cars, he is also very passionate about video games.  If he had a Youtube channel he would show everyone what it would be like to be him for a day while gaming.

After high school, Riley is looking forward to attending AETech Electrical Training Center located in Rapid City, SD. He is hoping to learn more about being an electrician and hopes to someday open his own electrical company. In 10 years, he also sees himself having family along with a super cute husky.
