Avery Mechels is 18 years old and lives with her family close to the school. Among her family members are her parents, Jamie and Steve, and her three brothers, Thomas, Cameron, and Theo. Avery has a good relationship with her brothers and says that her favorite books are any she can read to her brothers, like Dr. Seuss. Her favorite show to watch is Friends, and, if she could be any character from a show, it would be Phoebe. The reasoning behind this choice is that Avery would like to live the carefree lifestyle that Phoebe has. On the topic of tv shows, Avery would most like to participate on Family Feud, so she can hear what wacky answers her family members would give.
Being something of a connoisseur, Avery would want to visit Italy to try some of the local food, but her favorite food to eat is quesadillas. In fact, if she had to recommend anything in the whole world, it would be the chicken quesadilla dinner at Los Tapatios. In addition to her love of food, Avery enjoys traveling and feels as though she could not live without her car. However, if she could have a superpower, it would be teleportation so she could avoid having to drive anywhere.
Given the opportunity to succeed at anything, Avery would try skydiving. If she had to compare herself to a cartoon character, it would be Dory because she sometimes has forgetful moments. Luckily, through school, she has gotten better at managing her time to make up for any lost time.
