Three of our Madison wrestlers advanced to the State Meet in Rapid City from February 23 - 25, 2023. In our 106-weight bracket, Wyatt Pickard was beaten by Brendon Oehme and advanced to his defeat against Grant Larson of Lennox. Carson Wolf, our 120-weight class wrestler, lost to Tegan Zebroski, which then took him to the next round. He defeated Riley Schmidt of Rapid City Central and consequentially, through a fight, lost to Ian Metz. Finally, our 132-weight class participant, Caleb Hodges held up a proper bulldog fight. He defeated Luther Morrison which then led him to his loss to Braden Le. Despite his loss, he worked up to the title of a third-place finish through the defeat of Hudson Shaffer, Joe Juenger, Beau Peters, and his last opponent, Holden Hawkins.
