Oliver Warren Meyer is a born-and-raised Madison resident. Oliver, also known as “Ollie”, is the son of Kirsti and JB Meyer and has five siblings: Addy, Henry, Charles, Holbrook, and Penelope, plus a dog named Coco. In his free time, Oliver enjoys playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, and thinking about life's complexities. Ollie’s favorite color is blue, and he lives by the scripture 1 Nephi 3:7, paraphrased as, I will go and do. Oliver’s favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith, and if he could play any character, he’d be Luke Skywalker (before the sequels came out). His favorite subject is math, and one item he says he wouldn’t be able to live without is his legs.
Oliver has been a lifeguard at the Madison Community Center for over two years, and says the most rewarding part of the job is “Learning necessary skills for a rewarding life.” Oliver doesn’t actually have a bucket list, but if he had a superpower, he would have superspeed. His most memorable moment so far would be attending the Senior Honor Choir and the friends he made there. Oliver’s favorite restaurant is Culver's, and you can usually find him listening to calm music, specifically Steve Lacy.
After he graduates, Oliver plans to go on a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and then earn his MD. In ten years, Oliver sees himself completing medical school and having a family. Oliver thinks that he will be remembered for his many siblings and as the head drum major for the Spirit of Madison Marching Band. Ollie’s advice for underclassmen is, “Take every opportunity given to you,” and he recommends “doing more.”
