Aubrianna (or Aubri, Aubs, or Bri) Belle Tobkin, was born in Chicago, Illinois, then moved to Colorado at the age of one. In 2019, Aubri and her family moved to Madison, where she’s lived ever since. Aubri likes Madison, but she misses Colorado because “There was no Chick-fil-a here!” She says her mom, dad, and sister are all influences to her and that they are “always there for her.” Her favorite color is purple, her favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy, and her favorite book is The Housemaid.
Aubri says that playing softball and getting injured come easily to her, and her most memorable moment in high school was being on crutches for the first five weeks of senior year. Her other most memorable moment is making all-state softball in junior year. Aubri coaches softball and loves teaching kids what she calls “life essentials.” She also loves getting paid, which she adds is “pretty rewarding.” Aubri enjoys biology and her shoes, which she couldn’t live without. Someday, Aubri wants to travel the world, visit most countries in Europe, and get married, eventually having two kids! She dreams of living in Switzerland, because of the mountains, weather and “vibe”.
Aubri plans to major in biology at UNL with a minor in psychology. She then hopes to pursue dental school and specialize in endodontics. If she had 5 million dollars to spend, Aubri would give one million to charity, two million into savings, and she’d use the last two million to buy a house and move somewhere exciting! Aubri is proud to have a family that she can “just go to for help and open up about anything to them.” Aubri’s late grandmother contributed Aubri’s favorite quote: “Be a whatever girl.”
On Aubri’s playlist, you’ll find all kinds of genres like pop, reggae, rap, and country. Aubri isn’t afraid of anything-- except space, but she says, “I don’t have to go there, so it doesn’t matter.” Her advice to underclassmen is simple, “Be involved in as much as you can, be kind to everyone, and get your work done!”
