Elizabeth Jo Comes is the daughter of Chad and Heidi Comes. She prefers to go by "Elli" rather than Elizabeth. She is the youngest of five children, and her siblings are Nicholas, Olivia, Katherine, and Andrew. Elli also has a sister-in-law, Tori, and two brothers-in-law, Joshua and Jacob. One fun fact about Elli is that she is an aunt to three nieces and nephews. Their family has two pets: their dog Boone and cat Hazel. Another fun fact about her is that she has lived in Madison her whole life and in the same house until she recently moved.
One thing everyone knows about Elli is that she often listens to music and sings along. She also enjoys playing music on her guitar. When she is not listening to or playing music, she watches Friends or Never Have I Ever because they are her comfort shows. She also enjoys watching her favorite movies: Mamma Mia and Ten Things I Hate About You. Whenever she can, she hangs out with her friends. In the school year, Elli is very involved in all the clubs offered to her. She is the second-year president of Future Business Leaders of America, a member of National Honor Society, and involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Choir, MadVoices Jazz choir, Student Council, and Volleyball. She also manages the social media accounts for FCA and MadVoices.
When asked what her favorite memory at Madison High School was, Elli said: “My favorite memory is toilet papering the seniors during our junior homecoming.” In the future, Elli plans to attend college for business and pre-law. Following college graduation, she hopes to attend law school. 10 years from now, Elli sees herself done with school, working a good job, a big family, and a boat to enjoy lake days. Elli’s advice for underclassmen is “Take high school slow and do not stress out about schoolwork, because it will all get done and work out in the end.”
