Lucy Rae Lindholm was born on May 18, 2009, in Madison, South Dakota, to her parents, Lily and Chris Lindholm. She was born into an already lively household with four older brothers: Sean, Eddie, Evan, and Ethan, and one older sister, Autumn. She has been working at the local Pizza Ranch for three years. The most rewarding part of her job is the experience she gets in creating and maintaining relationships with co-workers and customers.
Lucy participates in Madison High School’s marching band, The Spirit of Madison, where she is the captain of the band’s color guard. If she had five million dollars, Lucy says that she would buy a house, likely in the scenic mountains of Montana, put most of it into savings, and of course, spoil herself a little. In her free time, Lucy likes to spend time with friends while shopping or just hanging out. If she were a cartoon character, Lucy feels she would be a minion, due to their chaotic, talkative, and funny personalities, but also that they are happy, even in times of stress or discomfort. Her performance as the character, The Lorax, in front of an audience was probably her most memorable moment, and she performed even through the embarrassment. What kept her positive throughout the performance was her favorite motto: “You only live once.”
After high school, Lucy intends to go to Mitchell Technical College, where she will study to become a medical assistant. In ten years, she sees herself owning a house and married to her high school sweetheart with two to three children and a chocolate lab. A piece of advice she has for underclassmen is to “Stay on top of your work, but don’t get too stressed.”
