“Jet-Setting with a Pencil and a Plot Twist”
Hidvera Khalil Leonel Cristobal is an outstanding senior at Madison Central High School! Originally from the charming state of Hidalgo in Mexico, she and her family moved to Madison, South Dakota, seven years ago. Hidvera has two wonderful sisters, Jade and Gloria, as well as a cute cat named Scar, who brings a lot of joy to their home.
Some of Hidvera’s favorite things include the color white, delicious seafood, and spending her free time drawing, which she truly enjoys.
One of Hidvera's most unforgettable memories is a special visit she had with her uncle in Mexico. On the other hand, she has a fear of not being successful and not living life enough. She also has a disgust for worms, which she finds slimy and gross. One thing she absolutely cannot imagine her life without is art and music!
If she could live anywhere in the world, she would choose Europe for its food and culture. Some other items on her bucket list include skydiving, hot air ballooning, and snowboarding.
In ten years, she envisions herself in a fulfilling job and living a joyful life with family and friends.
Her advice to younger students is simple: Stay focused and keep up with your homework!
