The Madison Area Swim Club heads to Mitchell this weekend to compete in the 13 and over State Championship. The previous weekend, the younger swimmers competed and finished out their season. The MASC consists of six swimmers: Delilah Maxwell (Senior), Sienna Maxwell (Junior), Oliver Meyer (Junior), Charlotte Haselton (Junior), Charles Meyer (Freshman), and Holbrook Meyer (Junior High).
The team will be competing in various events, from 50 to 1000 yard races. MASC also has a mixed relay team that will swim the 200 medley. Delilah Maxwell will start the race with a 50 backstroke followed by Charles Meyer, who will swim breaststroke. Oliver Meyer will then swim butterfly and Sienna Maxwell will finish the relay off with freestyle. This is the first relay team MASC has seen for a few years and the team is excited for the change to compete. Numerous swimmers are seated high and have a strong chance at making finals and placing within top 8. Overall, the Madison Area Swim Club is looking at a great weekend of competition and will hopefully be taking home some metals.
