Shane Roger Veenhof, also known as “Moosh”, is an 18-year-old senior at Madison High School. He hasn’t always lived in Madison, as he was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and lived there for four years before moving to Madison. His favorite color is purple, his favorite food is pizza, and his favorite restaurant is Slim Chickens. His favorite book series is The Boxcar Kids. Shane’s family consists of him, his two younger brothers, and his parents. Shane spends his free time watching football or working out. Shane does have a bucket list, and one thing on it is to travel the country with his future wife.
Shane has a job at Recycle and when asked what his favorite part of the job is, he claimed that “being paid” was the best part. One thing Shane cannot live without is his football, because he loves football. His favorite subject is English and he excels in it. If Shane could live anywhere in the world, he would live on a remote island in the Bahamas, because he wants an entire island to himself. Shane recommends playing football. If Shane could have any superpower, he would like the ability to shoot ice out of his hands. One thing Shane is afraid of is getting injured, but he doesn’t let it stop him. If he had a YouTube channel or a large TikTok platform, he’d post random daily vlogs.
When asked if he would’ve done anything different if he restarted high school, Shane responded, “I would’ve worked harder freshman year.” A motto that Shane lives by would be, “There is no opponent,” by Bruce Lee. When Shane graduates, he plans to play football at SDSU and major in sports performance. He sees himself in 10 years making millions of dollars with a wife. One of his most memorable moments was spending the summer with his friends when he was young. Shane’s advice to underclassmen is to “be yourself.”
