Dasia Love Yager was born on October 20th, 2007, and has spent her entire life in Madison, South Dakota, where part of her family has spent their entire lives as well for many generations. The other side of her family, her mother's side, lives in Iowa, where they've owned a restaurant for many years. Dasia comes from a family of five, with two brothers, Dillon and Devin; and a sister, Desiree.

Dasia grew up with a strong support system, especially her father, whom she described as “everything”. Her bond with him is so strong that the thought of losing him is her greatest fear. Kindness, empathy, and understanding were taught at an early age to Dasia by her father. Dasia uses these qualities in her job at Dollar General. She loves seeing the regular customers and enjoys the slight financial independence that it provides.

Dasia’s bucket list includes buying her dream car, getting married, finishing school, and overcoming her anxiety. If she won the lottery, she would make sure that she and her father had everything they needed and wanted in life.

Her advice to underclassmen is just to be kind to everyone; you never know what is going on in their lives, so don't contribute to the potential ‘bad day’ that they may be having already.

When it comes to favorites, her favorite color is white; she loves how it can go with any other color seamlessly and beautifully. She loves Alfredo and dining at Broadwater and Stadium, both of which are her go-to restaurants. Her favorite book is One For Sorrow, and her favorite music artists are Sabrina Carpenter, Jon Pardi, Zach Bryan, and many more. Her favorite quote comes from Sabrina, “I may not know who I was yesterday, or who I will be tomorrow. But I know who I am right now.”
