Ahmad Ashour is a 16-year-old MHS student who moved here from Jordan. He’s lived in Madison for about two months with his parents and brother, Jamal Ashour. Ahmad enjoys spending his free time on his phone or watching action and horror movies. He recommends that people play soccer because it is “A cool sport that is fun, interesting, and you can engage with others.” His favorite TV show is The Rookie because he likes what the police do, protecting people, and wants to embody their ideals and what they stand for.
When asked what he had on his bucket list, he replied with buying a Bugatti and a mansion. When asked what superpower Ahmad would have, he responded with flight. The reasoning behind this is that he would love to go anywhere he wants at a moment's notice. But when he's flying to his next destination, he needs to have some good tunes to listen to. Ahmad is a fan of R&B and Pop music. His favorite artist is Bruno Mars. One big question that was asked of Ahmad was what reaction he had when flying to America for the first time: “It was unlike anything I had ever felt before.”
Ahmad was also asked about his future ten years from now. He responded that he wished to be successful and have a successful business. Additionally, Ahmad said that after he graduates from high school, he will begin studying cybersecurity. Perhaps his successful business ten years from now is a cybersecurity business? The final question given to Ahmad was what advice he would give to his underclassmen. Ahmad’s advice is a simple, yet very true statement: “Study Harder.”
