Dylan Lee Gerdes, born May 7, 2007, is a senior at Madison High School. He has always lived in Madison with his mom, Chelsea, Dad, David, and little brother, Isaac. In school, his favorite classes are biology and anything taught by Mr. Cordts. During the day, he enjoys destroying his friends at the lunch table in Clash Royale. When asked about this, he stated, “I’m outlandishly stupidifyingly good at Clash Royale. I will beat anyone in Triple Draft, especially Cooper Johnson.” Some clubs that Dylan participates in are Key Club and HOSA, where he is the social media manager. After school, Dylan participates in cross country and track, where he has been a varsity runner since 7th grade. In cross country, he has won several races. In track, he has made it to state for the 4x8 and the mile. Because he spends so much time running, he spends a lot of his time listening to country music. His favorite country song is “Way of the Triune God” by Tyler Childers. Dylan has no time for a J.O.B. during the school year, but during the summer, he worked at Mustang, and he enjoys talking about all the memories he made with his co-workers.

In Dylan’s free time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, running, reading his bible, and watching the Colts. Some facts you may not know about Dylan include his favorite color is blue, his favorite restaurant is Potbelly’s, and his favorite T.V. show is How I Met Your Mother; however, he would recommend the movies Ocean’s 11, 12, and 13. One thing Dylan could not live without is his bible. This summer, he went to Camp Judson with his friends and said, “This is one of the best decisions I have ever made!” A quote that he lives by is “Let me be me”, Cody Maverick. The only thing that Dylan fears is not being able to reach his goals, but this pushes him further towards his goals.

After Dylan's graduation, he plans on going to Duluth, Minnesota, to run at the college level. He hopes to get a degree that will allow him to become a running coach or a physical therapist. He stated, “I would love to help athletes get back on their feet doing what they love.” In 10 years from now, Dylan sees himself living in Boise, Idaho, or Duluth, Minnesota. He hopes to be working as a running coach with the love of his life by his side. One day, his dream is to travel the world and run in every country.
