Tripp Lane Hansen was born in Sioux Falls, SD, and lived in Brandon for 3 years before moving to Madison. He has a few nicknames, including: Mochilla, Tripper, T-Dawg, and Tippy. There are 6 people in his family, including his mom, his dad, and his three brothers and one sister. He has 2 step-siblings. His favorite color is orange, and his favorite subjects in school are gym classes. Tripp likes gym class because he finds it to be an easy class. He has a job at Recykle, where he operates heavy equipment to help with the recycling program in Madison. The most rewarding part of his job is that he has the flexibility to choose his own schedule. If he had to choose somewhere to live, it would either be South Dakota or Montana.

Tripp loves to spend his free time with his friends. His favorite memory is road hunting with the boys. When Tripp graduates from high school his plan is “to attend Mitchell Technical School, complete a 9-month training program, and become a power lineman.” In 10 years, Tripp sees himself married, with at least 2 kids, and owning a nice house; however, Tripp says, “I want 4 kids in total.” One item Tripp could not live without would be his truck. He loves to play basketball with his friends and the team for Madison. His favorite music genre is 80s country music, and his favorite band is Fleetwood Mac.

Tripp is a very talkative and funny person; those things tend to come easily for him. He has a bucket list he would like to complete that consists of skydiving and elk hunting. If Tripp had 5 million dollars to spend on whatever he wanted, he would buy a lot of land for hunting. Although he loves to hunt and be outdoors, spiders and ticks are his biggest fears. Tripp's advice for underclassmen is to have fun.
