Channing Ava Olverson, also known as “Cheech” by her family, was born on September 20th, 2007, in Clark, SD; however, she moved to Madison before her second-grade year. Channing is the daughter of Maggie and Olaf and the younger sister of Brynn and Abbey. She is a very proud owner of her 2 cats, Lilly and Lucy. Channing's favorite animals are her cats because she has a very deep level of connection with them and enjoys spending time with them. Some other facts you may not know about Channing include that her favorite color is light yellow, her favorite restaurant is Jimmy John's, and her favorite show is Gilmore Girls.
During Channing's free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, going for walks, and baking. She enjoys school because it is a time for her to hang out with friends and people who make her happy. Her favorite subject is art because it allows her to work on a variety of fun projects. Channing's most memorable moment in high school this far is crashing out over trigonometry; she does not recommend it. Outside of school, Channing works as a waitress at The Lakes Bar and Grill. Her favorite part of work is the paycheck she gets after. One thing Channing stated was, “I highly recommend having a fun energy drink right when you wake up to start the day off on a high note.”
After Channing graduates, she plans on attending the University of South Dakota to major in Psychology. In 10 years from now, Channing sees herself working in psychology and starting to build her life with her husband, 2 kids, and 10 indoor cats. The motto that Channing lives by is: “Medicate, meditate, and save your soul for Jesus".
