Novalee Jeratowski, also known as “Nova”, is a student at Madison High School. But she has not always lived here. She lived in Sioux Falls and Colorado before eventually settling in Madison. She lives with her mom, her mom’s boyfriend, two younger sisters, a younger brother, and one older brother. When she is not at home, she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite movies are Maze Runner and Taken. If she could watch one movie again for the first time, it would be Megan Is Missing.
If she could live anywhere in the world, she would choose Paris, due to its aesthetic. Her favorite subject is art because it is fun and self-paced. She enjoys listening to music such as rap, and 2010s and 2000s pop. Novalee's current job is at Peaceful Pines as a caregiver. When asked what the most rewarding part was, she answered, “getting to know the residents.” Her advice to underclassmen would be to “live in the moment.”
After she graduates, she plans to attend college to pursue either a degree in law enforcement or a medical-related field. If she had five million dollars, she would spend it on her education, housing, family, and save the rest for travel. When she retires, she envisions herself backpacking or embracing van life to explore the world. Ten years from now, Novalee pictures herself far from South Dakota, married and living in Chicago as a police officer.
