Devrah Corbell Meyer, known as “Debbie” to some, was born on October 18, 2007. She has 8 siblings-- making a grand total of 10 family members, all with biblical names. She has lived in both South Dakota and Louisiana for the family business' beehives, and is a member of the Minnesota National Guard. She spends her free time making art and defeating her siblings in spikeball, frisbee, and LEGO video games.
Devrah is involved in Cross Country, Wrestling, Track, Scouts, Teen Advisory Board, and band. She does concert, marching, and jazz bands. Devrah could not live without her truck, and wants to live in the mountains of Colorado. Drawing and painting come easily to her, as she has completed every art class our school has to offer. Devrah would spend 5 million dollars entirely on Capri Suns. The TV character she identifies most with is DW from Arthur because she is “funny” and “a brat.” She is scared of canoes but no other aquatic activities. “They’re a weird distance off the water,” says Devrah.
After high school, Devrah plans to go to basic training and later attend the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, or SDSU. In ten years, she sees herself done with college with a steady job and married with around 2 kids. Her most memorable moment from high school was when Ernesto took a curb from Sioux Falls after the band made finals, or the marching band’s Dutchman Field Competition Finals performance. She lives by this D.W. quote, “This sign can’t stop me because I can’t read!”
