With Christmas rolling around the corner, what is the vibe this year? Focusing on the Christmas tree, the decor can be done in many ways. Do you stick to certain colors? Do you have a beige Christmas? Maybe you only put a few ornaments on the tree to keep it from looking cluttered. Or does your family take every last homemade, falling-apart, theme ornament, ornaments from first grade, and every ornament imaginable and throw them on the tree? Do you go for a Charlie Brown Christmas vibe? Looking at Madison High School may help show what the most popular option of these is.

After asking around, it seems the vote is split. Quite a few students described their tree as a “Charlie Brown Christmas tree”. This means they have all of their childhood ornaments, along with the homemade ornaments and other random ornaments. These people also had colored lights. This vibe of Christmas is on the more fun side and brings a nostalgic feeling to the Christmas tree.

There were also several students who described their tree with a little more elegance. These students had warm lighting and a color theme. One student has red and green ornaments with a few sentimental ornaments. Mrs. Gonyo has a gold, cream, and red theme. She described her tree as “tidy”. One student even said they don’t put ornaments on their main tree, just warm lighting. These trees are much simpler and can bring out the beauty of Christmas.

It seems as if the members of Madison High School have quite a variety of vibes this Christmas. However, there is one common theme among most students, which is a lack of garland on Christmas trees.

Those are some of the different vibes of Christmas that can be found at Madison High School. We enjoy all of them!
