My name is Grace Blessinger, and I've been editor of the Maroon for two years, but a part of the organization for three! I typically write about controversial or large-scale topics, such as my article on AI ("The AI Fungus"). I usually research a topic heavily for about a week, and then write my article. This process has helped me to understand and learn a variety of things, like how to understand statistics and draw information from sources that aren’t focused on my topic. I try to approach writing my articles by considering what might genuinely convince someone, or what potential arguments or holes in my argument I can prevent, which means I have an opportunity to explore many facets of a situation or topic.

I am a part of many organizations, including One Act and Spring Play as student director for the MHS theater, Grace Expressions dance studio, Student Council, an officer in Key Club, and President of National History Club. I love being a part of the Maroon Newspaper because I love writing and reading, and the Maroon veteran writers always write really interesting articles. I can’t wait to see what people come up with this year!
