The Madison Bulldogs Girls Tennis team kicked this season off strong with a stunning 6-3 victory against Rapid City Central at the Pierre Triangular. The meet continued with Madison playing Rapid City Christian and taking an unfortunate loss of 1-8, putting the season at 1-1.
The Girls Tennis team brushed themselves off and got back up to take a winning streak against Roncalli (8-1), Milbank (8-1), and even against an AA school: Sioux Falls Washington (7-2). The victories did not end here. Madison continued forward and beat Huron (7-2), Roncalli (7-2), Lennox (9-0), and Vermillion (6-3).
This winning streak came to an unfortunate end when Madison battled against one of the best teams in the league: Sioux Falls Christian. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the season, 3-6, bringing the season score to 8-2.
Next up, the Madison Girls Tennis team will play in the second-largest tournament of their season: the DAK XII. There, they will go up against the toughest teams in the league. After this, they will head out to Sioux Falls for the State tournament where they will battle for the Championship title.
