Bley Ayden Hamilton, also known as “Luscious”, is something his old friends used to call him, is a 17-year-old senior at MHS. He’s lived in Madison for about 2-3 years with his half-brother and his grandparents who both work at DSU. Before coming to Madison he lived in Wyandotte, Michigan, where his father and grandmother raised him. Bley’s favorite food is chicken alfredo as he says, “It is a very nostalgic meal from my childhood”. Something Bley recommends is “exploring the depths of your creativity,[and] writing down things as often as you can. Don’t be hindered by societal expectations of what is cool or normal just because you're told so- be you”.
One thing Bley cannot live without are notebooks as he uses them to write down a lot of his thoughts and keep track of the stories he creates. History is Bley’s favorite subject as he always enjoyed learning about early European history and the mythologies of these locations. Bley says Eeyore from the Winnie the Pooh characters best describes him as tired and having low energy, but always participating in his friends' escapades. If Bley were to have a superpower it would be teleportation as he could go to his hometown and visit family and friends whenever he likes.
A piece of advice Bley has for the underclassmen is “Enjoy your time as best as you possibly can. High school goes by fast and you don’t even realize it until your senior year. Make friends, participate in activities, and enjoy yourself”. In 10 years, he sees himself sitting with friends, enjoying themselves as well as pursuing their passions.
