Dael Gutierrez

Son of Carlos Gutierrez and America Hernandez, Dael Gutierrez Hernandez was born on January 1, 2006. There are five people in his family including him, an older sister, and a younger brother. He has lived in Madison, SD, his whole life. His favorite color is UNC Blue, and his favorite food is tacos. In his free time, you can catch him watching shows like Family Guy and Instructions Not Included. He says his favorite subject is history because Mr. Cordts always makesit fun and interesting.

When asked what book character best describes him, he said David from the children’s book No, David. If Dael could play any T.V. show character, he would choose Squidward because “He’s just kinda there and mostly serious but can also be fun.” He explained that his favorite childhood memory was going to the Mall of America for the first time, where he ended up meeting Spongebob. If he had five million dollars to spend, he would buy a house for his family and make sure that they are taken care of. Dael works at Sunshine Foods and says that the most rewarding part of his job is knowing that he’s doing a good job and that he is helping people out. He says the one thing he can’t live without is his phone because it’s how he communicates. If he could live anywhere in the world for a year, he would live in Italy because he wants to experience a new culture and environment; he also thinks it looks beautiful. Dael’s favorite clothing item is “A FITTED HAT TO CAP OFF THE FIT.”

In the future, Dael wants to go to USD for business, and he wants to work for a marketing firm. In ten years, he wants to see himself making money and set up for life. Deal enjoys FBLA and watching sports; he likes any Atlanta team. If he could have one superpower, he said he would be able to control time. He wants to have this power so he can “live in the moment longer.” When asked to complete the sentence “I recommend…” he responded with “trying stuff out even if you don’t think you would like it.” His advice for underclassmen is that “people won’t remember everything you do.”
