Hannah Drews

Hannah Lynette Drewes, also known as “Hannah Banana,'' is one of five siblings born to Heather and Casey Drewes. Some things Hannah loves to do include cleaning/organizing, painting, and singing in the high school choir. For the last year, Hannah has been working hard at Dairy Queen. She says she loves her job because her coworkers “are enjoyable to be around, and that they feel like family.” When Hannah is not working, you can also find her riding her bike around town, enjoying the fresh air, and cleaning/organizing while listening to her music.

If you were to ask Hannah what animal best describes her, she would say a Golden Retriever because of how nice and friendly they are to everyone they meet. One thing she could not live without would be her stuffed animals. Her favorite subject in school is biology because she loves to learn about plants and animals. Although Hannah’s favorite movie is The Greatest Showman one movie she would always recommend would be IT Ch. 2 because of how relatable all the characters can be to the adult and kid/teen audience. If Hannah could play any character in a movie or TV show, she said, “Damon Salvatore from Vampire Diaries, because I relate to his character and his personality. He acts like he doesn’t care, but he is willing to do things and risk his life for his loved ones and the ones he cares about the most and doesn’t want to lose”. One superpower Hannah wishes she had is teleportation so she could travel “anywhere at any time”.

After high school, Hannah plans to still work at Dairy Queen. If she could live anywhere for a year, she would live in Sioux Falls because it is a nice, wonderful place that has many places and things you can do; you can never get bored. In 10 years, Hannah sees herself having a stable job while still living in her hometown, Madison, South Dakota. The most important thing on her bucket list would be learning a new language like Spanish and/or Japanese. Some advice she would give underclassmen would be: “If you are passionate about something, go for it; don’t let anyone stop you from pursuing your dreams.”
