Sharon, who stumbles across a news article about the family’s situation, feels compelled to help. The community eventually finds out about Michelle’s condition and rallies to help, all due to Sharon, who starts fundraising tirelessly for Michelle. Although Sharon is dealing with her own issues, she feels like it is her job to call to help out this little girl and her family. Due to the awareness brought to the issue, the community finds ways to come together to help a family in need of support, emphasizing how important community is in times of need.
