Senior Spotlight: Truman Stoller

Truman Mark Stoller can’t live without socks. Being a varsity runner in Cross Country, I can imagine why that would be important to him. Truman is also in wrestling, cross country, and track. He has placed in state wrestling twice. Truman is 17 and lives in Madison with his family:  two sisters  Coley and Claire, and his parents, Hope and Mark. He is the only son and the only child without a name starting with C in his family.

Truman plans to attend NDSU or UNL to major in mechanical engineering with a possible minor in accounting. A couple of  fun facts about Truman is that his favorite color is blue, his favorite food is  steak (only wen h grills it!), his favorite TV show is The Simpsons, his favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan, and his favorite book is Animal Farm.

If this last year of Truman’s life could be described as a food he said it would be “a fresh baguette” because he has “risen and grown to be something with character.” Something that Truman has learned from high school is that “not everything needs to be perfect” and “to not get wrapped up in things.”

If Truman could play any character in a movie or was a cartoon character, he thinks he would be Peter Parker from Spider-Man. Truman thinks he would fit the role pretty well, and he thinks it would be fun. If Truman had a superpower, he would want it to be the ability to fly correctly, safely, and quickly. He just thinks it would be neat. A reality show that Truman would want to be on is Wipe Out. He thinks he could win the whole show.

If Truman could do anything and not fail, and money wasn’t a factor, he would travel the galaxy. He specifically wants to see the black hole at the center of our galaxy. If he could live anywhere in the world for a year, he would choose Germany. Truman has distant cousins there from whom he would like to learn some more of his family history

Truman recommends that everyone should watch the movie The Road to El Dorado, and learn how to drive a manual car. Truman drives around a Mustang that he is very fond of.

Truman works at One Stop, and his favorite part of his job is his coworkers because they make the job go by faster and make it more fun. Truman claims that he is really good at striking up conversation and grilling.

In 10 years, Truman sees himself as a successful millionaire with a fulfilling job at a good company. Truman plans to at least love what he is doing if nothing else. Truman is very hard working and never gives up. If Truman puts his mind to something, he will accomplish what he sets out for.
