Senior Spotlight: Lily Wolff

10 years from now, Lily Wolff sees herself out of college with a job, her own place to live, and maybe in a relationship. Presently, Lily is a 17-year-old senior at Madison High School. According to Lily, the cartoon character that best describes her is Ferb from Phineas and Ferb, because, “I am quiet, but useful when needed.” Lily's quite presence is perfect for her job peeling vinyl in the back of KydenJae Designs because she does not have to talk to anybody.

Although Lily is quiet, there is a lot to know about her. Her full name is Lily Taylor Wolff, and up until the age of 7, she thought the order of her name was Lily Wolff Taylor. Lily comes from a family of five and is accompanied by her father, Tyler; her mother, Jenny; a younger brother, Conrad; and half-sister, Makenna. An interesting fact that people may not know about Lily is that she is interested in trees and has purchased her own fall fiesta maple tree named Murphy. Her favorite color is a toss-up between yellow or purple, but not together.

When asked about her future, Lily said she plans to attend Dakota State University but is unsure of what degree to pursue. Lily’s dream job is within cyber-security where she would be paid to try and breach a company’s website to test the security. Lily also mentioned that if she could try anything and not fail without money being an object, she would try to design software.

Something Lily is really good at is the game Just Dance, and her go-to song is “No Control” by One Direction. If Lily could have any super-power, she would have the power of always being right, because she simply hates being wrong, plus she would never have to study for her tests.

Lily enjoys watching many TV shows and movies in her free time, with her all-time favorite show being Phineas and Ferb. She had her parents buy a Disney Plus subscription solely for the reason that Phineas and Ferb was on it. Her favorite movie is Interstellar because she likes the music and she could watch it plenty of times and still find something new she hadn’t noticed before. If Lily could play a character in any show or movie she would play Gus from the show Psych because he is funny and kind of has the same personality. If Lily could be a contestant on any show, she would be on The Challenge because it’s like Survivor, but not near as intense. If you ever need a good laugh, Lily could recommend anything, she recommends watching the comedy shows that John Mulaney has on Netflix.

Lily is ready for the next stage of her life, and has a bright future ahead of her.
