Senior Spotlight: Sydney Johnson

Sydney Renee Johnson is an 18-year-old senior at Madison High School. She has a passion for playing softball in the summer and would recommend it to everyone, because it is a fun sport to play. She stays busy working at Sunshine Foods where, she likes to work the courtesy counter the best.

Sydney is one of three daughters to her mother, who is an OB supervisor, and her father, who works for the Lake County Highway Department. She is a middle child with one older sister who works at Buffalo Wild Wings and one younger sister who works at Scooters. Probably her favorite member of the family is her dog, Rex, because he cuddles with her when she is down.

She is a fan of all of the Marvel movies. Her favorite book is Wonder. The television show she enjoys binge-watching is 13 Reasons Why on Netflix. Flying would be the super-power she would choose because she could get places faster and if she could try anything without failing it would be track. Perhaps if she used her super-power she could be the fastest track athlete ever. When watching other athletes, she most admires Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, because she is so fun to watch.

Her future plans include attending Lake Area Tech in Watertown, to become a Medical Assistant. In ten years she sees herself happily married with a family. She doesn’t have her life all planned out, instead, she says, she just plans to “go with the flow.”
