Senior Spotlight: Lane Zingmark

If you like art, anime and mac and cheese, you’ve come to the right place. Lane H. Zingmark born on October 3 of 2001 is one of the coolest middle children of all time. Not only is he an amazing artist, but he is also a wiz in the kitchen. His family consists of his mother Teri; his two older brothers Dylan and Chase, and his younger brother Warren. Lane lives in Madison and enjoys spending his time playing video games, hanging out with his friends, drawing, and playing with his two dogs. Some of his special skills are being able to pick up any video game quickly, anything that has to do with art, and Photoshop.

When asked where Lane would want to move or visit, he was very quick with his answer. “I would go to Europe, spend a good amount of time there, and then go to Japan,” he explained. Lane enjoys learning and experience new things, such as different cultures. If there is one thing that Lane recommends to everyone it is anime. He understands some may be quick to judge, but he assures that there are a lot of really good ones out there, you just need to find them. Video games hold a top spot in Lane's list. Some of his favorite games to play are Skyrim and Super Smash Bros, but his most favorite of all time is Minecraft. If the internet stopped working for a day, Lane would be the first to know. That’s the one thing he can’t go without.

If Lane was to receive 5 million dollars, he wouldn’t keep any of it. “I would give it to my mom and my grandparents. They have both done a lot for me and could use it more than I could,” said Lane. On the off chance of being able to select a superpower at will, Lane would go with telekinesis, the ability to read minds. His reason being “well the FBI would have no idea, so they couldn’t do anything about it”. If you catch him watching TV, he’ll more than likely be watching The Walking Dead. His favorite movie is The Dark Knight (Ft. Heath Ledger) and his favorite book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K Rowling.

During his time in high school, Lane has spent his time in a variety of activities. From culinary to football, Lane can do it all. The thing that he loves most about high school is seeing his friends every day. After school, Lane works at Pizza Ranch. He says working at Pizza Ranch has been really fun. “I get to work with some of his best friends and the community there is awesome. Oh, and the pay isn’t bad either.'' After high school, Lane plans on going to Dakota State University for graphic design. His dream job would be a streamer. With content consisting of gameplay, art, and podcasts with friends, who wouldn’t want to listen. As long as he is happy, he says life will be all good.
