EL Message

Dear Parents,

In the light of the current school closures, the Madison Central School District and the Madison Elementary are preparing distance learning supports.  The learning supports will be in the form of packets, practice focused websites, and in the upper grades some online learning platforms.  The goal of our packets is to reinforce the skills students need to know and be able to do at specific grade levels.  Our initial distribution of packets will provide materials for 3 weeks of resources.  Please note that we are currently scheduled to be in session on March 30 but will be taking direction from the Governor and the South Dakota Department of Education.  The staff at the Madison Elementary would like to provide support for our kids and families during this uncertain time.

The packets will be distributed on Wednesday, March 18 from 8:00 AM -1:00 PM at the Madison Elementary School.

K-2 packets will be distributed on the south side of the building and 3-5 packets from the north side of the building.

Chromebooks will be checked out to 5th grade students at the request of their parents on Wednesday, March 18 from 8:00 AM -1:00 PM.    Please see information below.

School supply bags will be available during distribution if your family needs school supplies at home.

Report cards are being mailed to parents.  If you should have any questions regarding the progress of your child please email your child’s teacher and or set up a telephone conference.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Madison Elementary School-

Sincerely,

Janel Guse, B.S., M.A., Ed. S.
