Senior Spotlight: Kiley Klein

Kiley Rosemary Klein is an 18-year-old girl who attends Madison High School. She was born and raised in eastern South Dakota and lives on a family farm just outside of Madison, South Dakota along with her dad, Lee; mom, Christina; and her two younger siblings, Kate and Troy.

Often times, Kiley finds herself helping out around the farm with cattle and spends lots of her time outdoors. She loves to ride and care for her horses, which are a big part of her life. The Klien family has 13 Quarter horses! Kiley also loves to be around her Red Heeler dog named Roscoe. One thing Kiley recommends is to “go outside all the time.” She definitely has a strong passion for animals and the outdoors. One character to describe Kiley is Amy, from The Heartland tv show. If Kiley could live anywhere in the world, she would choose either Montana or Alaska.

Kiley’s favorite TV shows are Friends, The Man from Snowy River, and Heartland. Her favorite color is blue. One food/drink to describe Kiley is hot chocolate because it is “warm and sweet,” and she does love to eat cookies and cream ice cream. If she could do anything in the world, without the risk of failing, she would like to fly an airplane. If Kiley could have any superpower, she would choose teleportation because she thinks it would be really cool to get to different places really fast. Her favorite color is light blue. If Kiley could be on any reality tv show, she would want to be on Amazing Race or Wipeout because she says it looks easy.

One thing Kiley has learned in high school is that “procrastination is not always a good idea.” This summer, Kiley would like to go on a senior trip, get a job, and of course, have a good time! After she graduates, she plans to attend either South Dakota State University or Mitchell Technical Institute to study Agricultural Business and Animal Science. Someday, Kiley would like to be married, have at least one kid, and maybe live in Montana.
