Senior Spotlight: Casi Eliason

Casi Eliason is the daughter of Curt and Connie Eliason. She has two older siblings: a brother, Cooper, and a sister, Cayden, and a twin sister, Cali. Casi and her family reside in Howard where they also own the 6 C’s ice cream shop. She can be found working many different jobs, ranging from being a lifeguard at the pool, helping her dad with lawn care, and working at the 6 C’s, where she will occasionally help herself to some of her favorite ice cream, mint chocolate chip.

One thing that Casi is good at is ice skating. Her family used to live in Elkton and would always travel to Brookings to go ice skating at the ice complex, which is where she learned to skate. Her love of skating also got her into the sport of hockey. She likes watching hockey because of all the excitement that it has to offer. Her favorite NHL team is the Washington Capitals.

Casi enjoys watching The Office, as well as Zoo. Her favorite movie is Miracle on Ice, a movie about how the United States won one of the most exciting games in Olympic hockey history. She also enjoys reading books like The Great Gatsby, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and Every Soul a Star.

In ten years, Casi sees herself possibly still in school and well-traveled. She has already been to places like New York City and Panama, but would like to revisit the mountains in Idaho. She had driven through them with her family while on vacation, but they never stayed there. She would like to go there again at some time to take in the scenery.

Casi is a very caring person. In fact, when asked what she would do with five million dollars she said that she would donate it to animals in need. She would also give money to lower-income families, as well as United States veterans to help out with some of their expenses.

After graduating high school, Casi plans on going to Black Hills State University for her generals. After that, she plans on going on an eighteen-month church program where she will go to a currently undecided country and help people in need. When she gets back, she plans on going back to school and enrolling in a vet program. She is also considering enlisting in the National Guard at some point to help with her college finances.
