Senior Spotlight: Keaton Nighbert

Keaton Nighbert’s senior year can be described as spaghetti because it’s very saucy and enjoyable but is made up of simple ingredients. He was born on December 30, 2001, to Rick and Carli Nighbert. Growing up, he had always enjoyed eating his mom’s homemade lasagna, which is his favorite. Keaton also grew up on The Office, one of his all time favorite tv shows, and watching the movie Hot Rod with his older sister, Kenna. He is great at fixing the wifi at home whenever the movies aren’t loading, because their wifi can be slow at times.

When Keaton isn’t spending time with friends or at school, he enjoys working independently at the One Stop deli making subs. Another way he spends his time is watching tv shows and movies, which is why it’s not surprising that Keaton said something he wouldn’t be able to live without is Netflix. His go-to show is always The Office because “there’s no other humor quite like it.” If you have never seen The Office before, Keaton recommends it to everybody and anybody who is willing to check out something new.

Throughout high school, Keaton has learned how to get along with people that don’t have the most cooperative personality, a skill that will be very useful for the rest of his life. Another thing he has learned is that he doesn’t like the snow. If he could live anywhere in the world, he would live in Arizona because it doesn’t snow there. Along with that wish, he has many other dreams in life such as skydiving, competing on Wipeout to attempt the big bouncy red balls, and attending SDSU to major in pharmaceutics. Sometime after college, Keaton wants to have a steady job, a family with two kids, one boy and one girl, and be living in a modest house married happily to his future wife.
