Lance Edward Lee is a 17-year-old from Madison, SD. Lance’s favorite color is blue and when it comes to food, Lance has a taste for Mexican. His favorite television show is Forged in Fire and would enjoy being an actual contestant on the show because he enjoys forging and even has a forge to make metal tools. His favorite movie is Dunkirk because he also enjoys flying. When it comes to books, Lance is not a huge fan, but he would say his favorite book is Divided We Fall.
Lance has a total of five people in his family including his parents, Larry and Heather; his siblings, Tatum and Tyler, and himself. Lance has his own pilots license and tries to get out and fly as much as possible. Lance works at the Madison airport and his duties are washing planes and organizing the hangers. He receives an employee discount so he is able to fly more often. One item Lance couldn’t live without would be an airplane because then he couldn’t fly! He recommends flying for a fun activity and has a strong passion for aviation. After high school, Lance plans to become a certified flight instructor. His goal is to learn as much as possible about planes and flight so he can teach others. In ten years, Lance plans to be living in Madison and flying around town.
Something that Lance learned in high school is...that he isn’t very fond of high school. The cartoon character Lance decided would best describe himself is Baloo from The Jungle Book. Lance’s dream place to live for a year would be Alaska because it would be an awesome experience. Something that Lance would like to try if there was no chance of failure would be skydiving because of his love for being up in the open air. A superpower that Lance would most like to have is teleportation so he could get places quicker.
In his free time, Lance enjoys making model RC cars and planes. If given the chance, Lance would like to fly around Machu Picchu. He thinks the scenery would be very cool and the flying conditions would be a bit more challenging than around here.
Lance is excited to get out of high school and start flying more in order to become a flight instructor. He has many different hobbies such as making model planes, forging metal, and most of all, flying airplanes. Lance hopes to make a career out of flying by teaching others how to fly and he hopes to gain more knowledge of planes so he can have an even better understanding of them.
