Senior Spotlight: Morgan Anderson

“My life would be described as a pepperoni pizza,” says 18-year-old Morgan Renee Anderson, daughter of John and Lisa Anderson, and younger sister of Tayler Anderson. Morgan says her life is basic, but good (like a pepperoni pizza). Her schedule consists of school, sports, and in the summer, her job as a lifeguard. She plays volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track in the spring. Morgan would say her favorite sport is volleyball because she believes that she is better at it compared to the other sports she plays.

Her favorite color is pink, and she loves grilled chicken. Morgan’s all-time favorite childhood movie is Horton Hears a Who, and she enjoys the show One Tree Hill. If asked, Morgan would say Belle from Beauty and The Beast would best describe her, but if she could be any character, she would be the clown, Pennywise, from the movie It because she likes to scare people. Morgan’s superhero power of choice would be to be invisible, so she could really scare people!

One thing Morgan has learned from high school is to always be respectful to others because you don’t know what is going on in their life. Her favorite high school teacher was her sophomore English teacher, Mr. Ericcson. She says he was a fun teacher and didn’t make the class boring. If Morgan could retake any high school class, it would be biology because it wasn’t very difficult. She would get ten points of extra credit on every test for writing her vocab words. After high school, Morgan plans to attend South Dakota State University to major in Elementary Education. Her mom works a daycare and that sparked her love for helping and being around children.

In ten years, Morgan hopes to be married, have children, and work as an elementary school teacher. Morgan would live in Arizona for a year if she could choose to live anywhere. If she could do anything and not fail, she would go scuba diving. She would also be a contestant on the show Wheel of Fortune if the opportunity presented itself.

Overall, Morgan’s life is more than basic and good. She has a very interesting and exciting life and has realistic goals set for the future. Morgan’s high school peers describe her as friendly, always laughing, and a big-hearted person. With these characteristics, Morgan will succeed in her future.
