Senior Focus of Caroline Graham

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Not Caroline Cecilia Graham, daughter of Robb and Christine Graham. She lives in her home on the shores of lake Madison, where she can be found playing any one of the ten instruments at which she is proficient, or studying up on the works of Kate DiCamillo.

But who is this Caroline “CC” Graham? It’s common knowledge among most who know her that she has brown hair and brown eyes and loves Converse shoes. She was born 6,673 days prior to the publication of this article and enjoys making candles. She has two sisters.

At a closer look, one would discover that Caroline lives life through a creative lens. She loves art, including oil painting (she proudly declares that she was a Bob Ross fan long before he was cool). She uses her art skills to make posters and signs for the numerous clubs in which she is involved.

If she were to conquer a small country and claim the throne, her spacious castle would be surrounded by a moat of orange soda and infested with angry octopi who answered to her every command.

A multitude of memorable events make up her childhood and shaped her into the person she is today. One such event was when fourth grade Ms. Graham, the Sparkle Champion, Queen of Spelling herself, failed to yell out the spelling of ‘Massachusetts’ as fast as her foe Spencer Monroe. After bawling in the corner of Mrs. Eich’s classroom for two hours, young Caroline vowed to never cry in public again. She remains true to her oath to this day.

Though not personally an avid fan of pineapple on pizza, she forbears from passing judgment on others who observe this practice.

When sad, her go-to song is Godspeed by Frank Ocean. When angry, Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones. Apple or Samsung person? False; she has a Google Pixel. But she doesn’t really see the difference, after all, every phone company sells our secrets to the government.

Though as a young lass she dreamed of becoming a superhero, she was born to be a ninja. She is the Stealth God, silent as the night, swift as the fox, strong as the bear, and agile as the panther. At least - that's what she told everyone when she dressed up as a ninja three years in a row for Halloween.

Assuming Caroline graduates from High School, she hopes to attend an out-of-state college and major in both science and music. She would love to combine the two into a viable career exploring the intersection between music and nature, studying sound science and sound ecology. She wants to see how nature and animals react to certain harmonic structures. Complex, but enthralling.

She loves crew-neck sweatshirts--50% cotton, 50% polyester, real soft on the inside. She is an exceptional whistler. She drives a 2006 Prius named Baby. Speaking of babies, there is a family of deer that live near her house; the smallest, darkest one is unofficially Caroline’s.

Overall, CC is esteemed by many to be outgoing, well-rounded, and creative. She looks forward to the rest of her senior year and the activities she will get to enjoy for one more season.

Ladies and gentlemen, Caroline Cecilia Graham.
