Hello Madison High School staff and student body, my name is Gracie Terrall and I am this years Maroon Editor. This year, our writing staff consisted of multiple Juniors and Seniors. However, next year with the absence of Bear Shipley, September Johnson, Taylor Arneson, Jacob Boyko and myself, the members will be lacking.
The Maroon Newspaper is a wonderful addition to students resumes and helps you build your writing skills. You will write one article a month; the topic is up to you! Currently, students write movie reviews, current Madison events and other miscellaneous topics.
Meetings are held one Tuesday a month in Mrs. Gonyo's classroom. In these meetings, we discuss current events and the last months articles. Mrs. Gonyo and the Maroon staff use this time to brainstorm potential article ideas and help students pick topics.
Next year, the editors will be Grace Nelson and Mya Maxwell. If you would like to join the Maroon Newspaper, keep a look out for advertisements during the 2019-2020 school year!
